Hi, I’m Dan — a mix engineer helping artists finish records that truly connect with listeners, from singles and EPs to live albums and sync.
My background covers mixing and mastering, film scores, ADR, voiceover, audio post-production, and live events. I studied at BIMM Manchester (2020-2023) and won the 2022 Remix Competition, leading to a one-on-one masterclass with Rick Snoman (Britney Spears, The Chainsmokers, Justin Timberlake).
I mix from a musician’s perspective. With over 13 years as a drummer and six years on guitar and bass, I focus on groove, dynamics, and emotional impact as much as technical precision. Releasing two ambient albums in 2022 refined my approach to texture, space, and restraint - knowing when a mix should hit and when it should breathe.
I work primarily from an acoustically treated studio, with access to external studio facilities when projects require a larger recording space. My work has received airplay on BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 4, and Amazing Radio, and I’ve recorded ADR for brands including the NFL, BBC Radio 4, Northern Rail, and Modux.
Above all, my priority is delivering a mix that sounds right for you.
